This month's show took it to a strictly hardcore breaks level for 2 hours including a respected label within the scene. It's all about Paranoid Recordings.
Formed in 2009 by Gaffer and RenegadeGenius, the label had their first release in January 2010 ("Paranoid Recordings Vol.1"). The focus of the label has always been on breakbeat hardcore in the oldskool early 90's style, featuring new artists among some more established names. The early releases were compilations from various artists initially in CD format with unmixed tracks on the first disk and a DJ mix on disk 2. Eventually the label moved on to various releases on digital and vinyl formats.
Over the last 16 years Paranoid Recordings have over 60 releases in various forms including their current vinyl & digital release, "The RenegadeGenius Remix EP," which is available from their bandcamp page as well as the usual record stores.

The last couple of weeks before my Dublin trip were absolutely Paranoid. I decided to dig into the label's vaults and tunes that we haven't heard for sometime. Accompanied by Gaffer's mix with tunes released the last 5 years, this show is a pretty good introduction and homage to a hard working and down to earth label.
