'V.A. - Ruff Hard Core' [Rave Radio Records]
Southern UK finest, Rave Radio Records, have unveiled their brand - new aspiring series titled 'RUFF HARD CORE'. It’s a fierce throwback to the golden era of early ‘90s rave culture, delivering 12 exclusive tracks that sound like they’ve been beamed straight from a warehouse party in 1992. Raw, gritty, and high-energy Hardcore, the release introduces the new sounds of Try Unity, Liquid Crystal, Al Storm & Euphony, Billy Daniel Bunter & Sanxion, and Tim Reaper, among others. The artwork deserves a shout too as there are some scintillating visuals by graffiti icon Aroe, who even took it to the streets with a massive mural outside across the Regent Street in Brighton. A must-have vinyl, dropping just in time to tease the forthcoming mega day & night Hardcore celebration at the Volks Club in end of August. (tickets)

'Radicall - Closer EP' [Willow Street Recordings]
Radicall, returns with the second installment on his own Willow Street Recordings imprint. Hailing from the nu-rave city of Łódź in Poland, and with a strong foundation in Drum & Bass, Radicall brings years of production experience to the table - melding tough breaks, warm pads, and deep atmospheres into four perfectly crafted cuts. His new EP channels pure ‘92–‘94 energy, but with a clarity and emotional weight that’s uniquely his. After early vinyl outings on Cantina Cuts and creative breakthroughs while writing for Parallax Records, this self-released EP feels like a natural step forward providing a 100% rave character.
'Synthasy - Alpha EP' [Fundamental Frequencies]
Fundamental Frequencies continue to reign throughout this year, and this time they’ve delivered another rare gem with the reissue of Synthasy’s 'Alpha EP'. Originally a Breakbeat Hardcore debut that turned heads and quickly slipped into myth, this white label masterpiece was engineered by Jezz Wright - who’s behind some of the most iconic tracks of the era, like Liquid’s 'Sweet Harmony' and Lemon D’s 'Toxic Rhythms'. Recorded at Blockhouse Studios, the EP was self-distributed through London’s record shops before gaining additional exposure via Entity Records. As demand grew, a full-art repress was released, only to disappear again, cementing its status as a true collector’s item. Bursting with that pure 1992 energy, yet with a modern twist, this record feels crafted for the true heads by someone who is one of them.
A future artifact, already halfway there.
